Paris Hilton has confessed that the “loss is overwhelming” as she watched her family home burn down on live TV. Multiple wildfires are currently raging across the greater Los Angeles area, forcing thousands of people to evacuate their homes.
Paris is among those who have lost their homes due to the deadly fires. The 43-year-old revealed on X that her $8.4 million waterfront Malibu property has been destroyed by the fire, with the Simple Life star witnessing the devastation live on the news, reports the Mirror US.
She expressed that she is “heartbroken beyond words” and admitted it’s “something no one should ever have to experience.”
“This home was where we built so many precious memories,” Paris wrote in a lengthy statement. “It’s where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London.”
She continued: “While the loss is overwhelming, I’m holding onto gratitude that my family is safe. My heart and prayers are going out to every family affected by these fires. To all the people who have lost their homes, their memories, and their beloved pets.”
Paris said the devastation across Los Angeles is “unimaginable.”
She added: “To know so many are waking up today without the place they called home is truly heartbreaking.”
The socialite is looking to aid those affected by the wildfires and has revealed that her team are liaising with nonprofit organisations to see how she can support the communities impacted. She also expressed gratitude towards those working tirelessly to halt the spread of the fires.
“To the brave firefighters and first responders risking their lives to protect us-you are true heroes. I am so grateful for your courage, dedication, and the incredible sacrifices you’re making to save lives and fight this unimaginable battle. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Paris penned. She then encouraged fans to stay safe and “follow evacuation orders.”
Paris concluded: “Let’s protect one another and hold onto hope that these fires will soon be contained. Sending so much love and strength to all of you. We’re in this together, LA. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight. You never know when everything could change.”
On Instagram, Paris also suggested ways her fans can help, highlighting organisations such as the American Red Cross, LA Food Bank and LAFD Wildfire Emergency Fund.

Officials have been providing updates on the fires. Mandatory evacuation orders have been issued for areas north of Hollywood Blvd, west of U.S Highway 101 all the way to Laurel Canyon Blvd. Evacuation warnings have been issued for blocks stretching from N Stanley Ave to Laurel Canyon between Sunset and Hollywood Boulevard.
Mandatory evacuation orders are still in effect near the Palisades fire west of Los Angeles. Residents have also been instructed to vacate their homes in the San Fernando Valley due to the Hurst fire.
Further evacuation orders have been issued for parts of Santa Monica and Altadena because of the Eaton fire. The wildfires have tragically claimed five lives so far, with over 15,000 acres and 1,100 structures having been consumed by the flames.
