BLUEFIELD, W.Va. -With more snow on the horizon, the City of Bluefield is issuing an important reminder to make sure to move your cars from the street so plows can clear the road.
Bluefield’s City Manager says public works crews have had some trouble clearing streets, with just narrow pathways available on some roads, making it impossible for snowplows to properly move through.
Now, if your vehicle is found to be preventing that important work from being completed, the vehicle will be towed.
“In order for us to get the roads clear we have to have a clear pathway and a lot of these are on hills. So, we just ask the community to please work with us so our teams can get out there and do the best job they can to get you where you need to go,” said Cecil Marson, City Manager of Bluefield.
Residents are asked to move their vehicles as soon as possible to ensure they are not towed, and crews are safe and able to clear streets.
