*Warning: Contains spoilers for Babygirl*

Nicole Kidman returns to the silver screen in a sizzling new thriller today (January 10), with Iron Claw’s Harris Dickinson as her co-star.

Written and directed by Halina Reijn, Babygirl follows a passionate love affair between a high-flying CEO and her fresh-faced intern.

The Oscar-winning actress portrays Romy, a businesswoman whose life is turned upside down when she embarks on a fling with the much younger trainee. Early reviews on Rotten Tomatoes have already given the film a fresh score of 78%, and social media is buzzing about its steamy subject matter.

Although the 57-year-old has a fanbase that spans generations, her latest film is strictly 18+ and has its fair share of raunchy scenes. The thriller boldly opens with a sex scene between Romy (Kidman) and her husband Jacob (Antonio Banderas), setting the tone for the following hour-and-a-half.

Consider this your official warning if you have cued it up to watch with your family. However, if you’re willing to take the risk, here are Babygirl’s risqué scenes, ranked from least to most family-friendly.

5. ‘Father Figure’

Landing in fifth place, meaning you should find an excuse to leave the cinema, is the ‘Father Figure’ montage.

Although Babygirl’s main theme is erotic desire, it has little nudity. However, this scene where Romy and Samuel escape to a luxury hotel shows Kidman almost completely naked. The CEO confronts her insecurities in a moment where Samuel asks her to take off her dress and stand in front of him.

Later in the montage, Dickinson takes after Barry Keoghan’s Saltburn Murder on the Dancefloor dance scene and breaks out moves of his own to George Michael’s Father Figure. Although, unlike Keoghan, he keeps his trousers on.

The segment flits between the duo’s intimate conversations and explicit scenes that are far from family-friendly.

4. ‘Never Tear us Apart’

Iconic songs are used skilfully in the thriller but they often signal raunchy scenes. Such is the case for INXS’ 1988 single Never Tear Us Apart, which was not easy to secure the rights to.

In a recent interview, Reijn revealed that A24 had initially rejected her request to feature the Australian hit. The director told the ReelBlend Podcast that she was so heartbroken about this that she didn’t sleep for a week. However, Kidman pulled some strings and managed to land the rights to the tune.

The rock ballad kicks in when Romy and Samuel succumb to their attraction, igniting a passionate affair filled with heated encounters. The segment is fleeting but it is nowhere near PG.

3. ‘More Milk?’

There are technically two milk scenes, both of which have taken the internet by storm.

In the first scene, Samuel orders a glass of milk for Romy and silently instructs her to drink it. She obliges, prompting him to praise her by saying “Good girl.” While the segment is suggestive, it is relatively tame for family viewing.

The second sequence, appearing later in the thriller, features Romy on all-fours licking milk from a plate – which could, naturally, make for a very awkward viewing experience.

2. ‘Pool Party’

In second place comes one of the most stunning shots from the drama: the pool scene.

If you only watched this segment, you may never guess the raunchy clips that fill the other 95 minutes. At this point in the story, the pair have sourly ended their relationship and Romy has told her husband about the fling, although she downplays the extent of the romance.

Unexpectedly, Samuel visits Romy’s house, and they share an intimate moment in the water, marking their final time together. Soon after, Jacob arrives at the house and finds them in his living room, which leads to a brawl between the two men. Ultimately, this is one of the few family-friendly segments in the flick.

1. ‘You’re Mine’

Trailer for 'naughtiest film of the year' has dropped and fans are 'blushing'
A24 posted the ‘You’re mine’ clip on TikTok and garnered over 10 million views (Image: A24)

Taking the top spot is a clip that has swarmed TikTok since the film’s Christmas Day debut in America.

Shortly after starting their affair, Romy hosts a birthday party for her daughter and invites her assistant Esme (played by Everything Now star Sophie Wilde). Esme arrives with Samuel as her plus one, and he tells Romy that they are dating.

Romy does not take the new relationship lightly and confronts him, saying: “I don’t want you seeing other women; you’re mine.” They swiftly get caught by Esme, who appears to puzzle together the pair’s affair, before she quips, “Everything okay?”

The dramatic exchange between the duo is entertaining and captures the forbidden nature of the affair without being explicit, making it the most family-friendly viral scene.
