FAIRPORT, N.Y. (Gray News) – A 4-year-old dog is looking for his forever home after spending more than a year at a shelter in New York state.
Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, said Clint came to the shelter on Dec. 23, 2023.
The 4-year-old is missing one eye and has a “permanent wink,” according to his adoption page.
He is currently living with a foster family since the stress of shelter life became too much.
Clint is described as a sweet, smart dog who loves playing with all toys and “has some of the cutest quirks we’ve ever seen,” the shelter said.
The shelter said Clint “literally bunny-hops when he gets excited” and also “likes having his face smooshed.”
Clint is fully housebroken and crate-trained, and he is great at communicating when he needs to go outside or when it’s time to eat.
“He loves sticking to a schedule, so if you need to follow a schedule yourself because of work commitments or anything else, he’ll easily get in synch with you,” the shelter said.
The shelter said his very favorite thing is sunbathing. Clint also loves walks and car rides.
Clint is looking for an adult-only home, although families with kids over the age of 12 would be just fine. He also needs to be the only pet in the home.
“In return for all your love, he promises to give you all of his – and he has lots of love to give. He’s very accommodating, up for whatever you want to do: a walk or a cuddle, not to mention a play session, indoors or out,” the shelter said.
Clint’s adoption fee has already been sponsored, so his new family will be able to take him home for free.
“Every dog deserves a chance at happiness, but for over 377 days, Clint has been waiting for that chance. Waiting for someone to see him. Waiting for someone to choose him,” the shelter wrote in a Facebook post.
