A prominent Rangers fan group has turned on Philippe Clement – demanding the new Ibrox supremos show ‘leadership’ and axe the under-fire boss.

Clement is under severe pressure once again after back-to-back draws with Hibs and Dundee undid the good work from that 3-0 win over Celtic on January 2. Their stumble at Dens means they are now 15 points behind the Hoops – further back than they were before thumping their rivals – and staring down the barrel of another procession across the city.

They’ve won just three out of 11 away games in the league under Clement this season and many fans have seen enough. Chants of ‘Clement, get to f***’ were heard from the away end at Dens as they stuttered to a 1-1 draw on Thursday night. And now the Rangers Supporters Association have formally called for change, demanding new CEO Patrick Stewart and chairman Fraser Thornton take ‘decisive action’ – even if it means a significant financial blow, given he is under contract until 2028.

They said in a statement on X: “The RSA calls on the club to take decisive action and relieve the current manager of his duties. We understand the implications of making this change, doing nothing is not an option and will only further damage the club in the longer term.

A statement from the Rangers Supporters Association on X

“This is a time for real leadership from our new chairman and chief executive. Perhaps also some of our more long standing board members/investors (should) reflect on their role in relation to the club’s current position on and off the park.”
