The beginning of a New Year always brings with it the opportunity to focus on our health and wellbeing.

If you’re someone who is prioritising smarter food choices, then you’ll need a fridge stocked with all the right produce. To help improve your health, M&S has just launched two new ranges that will “kickstart” your 2025 health goals.

Available in Food Halls now, the high street firm has developed the ‘Brain Food’ and ‘YAY! Mushrooms’ ranges. Packed with all the right nutrients, the new food lines will support your health journey throughout January and beyond.

The 13-product strong Brain Food does exactly what it says on the tin and has been designed to support our overall cognitive/brain health. It boasts everything from drinks and on-the-go snacks to salads, all of which feature the “Eat Well” seal of approval.

You’ll find six noggin-boosting nutrients that many of us lack in our diets, according to a National Diet and Nutrition Survey in 2020. These include Omega-3 (DHA), zinc, iron, iodine, folate and vitamin B12.

With 80 percent of M&S customers confirming that they are concerned about the health of their brain, then the new food range is sure to ensure that we are giving them the boost they need for the year ahead.

Meanwhile, it’s not all about food for the brain, as the retailer has also developed a new line of own-label mushroom-based drinks, becoming the first ‘big brand’ supermarket to do so.

M&S YAY! Mushrooms

The ‘YAY! Mushroom’ range has been developed over the last nine months, with inspiration coming from a trip to Los Angeles where it was discovered that mushrooms were the ‘it’ health trend of the moment.

Created in partnership with scientists at the Royal Botanic Gardens, it features four cold drinks that feature two key fungi – Lion’s Mane and Reishi. Even better, folks who aren’t keen on mushrooms will be pleased to hear that these trendy drinks provide all the benefits without the taste.

You can find M&S’ new ‘Brain Food’ and ‘YAY! Mushrooms’ lines in Food Halls and online at Ocado now.
