Tensions flared in the latest episode of The Traitors, as Friday’s challenge sparked a fiery confrontation between two of the show’s contestants, leaving viewers decidedly unimpressed.

During the task, participants were required to ‘mark’ their peers with an unsightly substance while they remained oblivious under masks. The aim was for those smeared in the gunk to guess who had targeted them.

When Minah found herself covered and questioned her ally Dan about his involvement, he initially denied it. However, she later learned that Dan, with Leanne’s assistance, had indeed marked her.

Feeling deceived, Minah concluded that Dan had ‘betrayed’ her trust.

Audiences swiftly took to social media to express their thoughts on Minah’s reaction, pointing out the irony of her indignation given her own duplicity as a Traitor in the game, reports the Mirror.

One viewer remarked: “Minah? Girl you’re a whole traitor, you can’t be upset at Dan for not being truthful with you.” While another highlighted: “You’ve not been entirely honest with Dan though, Minah.”

Another commented: “Minah is a traitor yet she’s moaning about trust.” And on more wrote: “Minah actually getting upset with Leanne and Dan for marking her when you are the biggest liar in there, come on luv.” (sic)

Another chimed in with: “Not Minah trying to take the moral high ground when she’s snaking every single person in there!”

Minah swiftly brushed off her clash with Dan, as he was the next to be voted out at the round table on Friday night. Another Faithful banished, leaving Minah and Linda surviving adeptly as Traitors.

They continue to dodge any blame while the Faithfuls mistakenly vote one of their own out again.

Despite some backlash from viewers over her treatment towards Dan, many had to concede that Minah’s tactics in the game were paying off. “Minah is a fire Traitor,” tweeted an impressed viewer.

Others shared similar sentiments, saying: “Minah is audacious, omg.”

Another penned: “Minah is just carrying Linda through this whole thing.” And one more fan admired her strategic prowess, admitting: “Minah is an absolute master at this game… so far.” (sic)

Before her appearance on the show, Minah, a Liverpudlian call centre manager, teased she could be a standout contestant. She recollected people telling her after the second season that she’d excel on the show, attributing her potential to enjoying pranks and harmless fibs probably what motivates her gameplay.

Her comparison of herself to Harry, the triumphant Traitor of the series’ previous season, hints at her confident approach to the competition.

“In this game I will cheer everyone on in the Missions to get them done and to get the money. Secretly you’re thinking, I need this lot to work hard to earn my money that I’m going to take at the end,” she said.

The Traitors returns next Thursday on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
