Elderly Princeton man reported missing

PRINCETON, W.Va. -The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in locating a missing elderly man from Princeton.

Robert Cox Jr., 78, of Princeton, has been missing since January 2.

According to the sheriff’s department, Cox is described as a 5′10″ tall, white male, weighing 333 pounds with brown eyes, wears glasses, and has balding gray hair.

Cox resides on Nice Street. He was last seen at the Outback Steakhouse off of Oakvale Road at 11 a.m. on January 2.

He may be traveling in a 2021 white Chevy Equinox with the West Virginia license plate number O8V375.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department at 304-487-8364 or the Mercer County 911 Center at 304-425-8911 and ask for Det. Corp. M.T. Hatfield.
