WATERBURY, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) – A Connecticut man has been arrested after police say he was found with thousands of bags of heroin.

According to Waterbury police, Tremaine Days, 26, was taken into custody Friday after investigators executed a search and seizure warrant at his residence on Jewelry Street.

Police said they found marijuana, 2,710 bags of heroin, $1,395, 27 capsules of crack cocaine and a loaded Smith & Wesson handgun inside the apartment.

The 26-year-old is facing charges that include operating a drug factory, carrying a pistol without a permit and possession of narcotics with the intent to sell.

A judge has set bond for Days at $1 million.

Authorities said Days is a convicted felon with a history of narcotics and firearms convictions.
