The Traitors runner-up Mollie Pearce is set to hit the ice tonight in the brand new series of ITV’s Dancing On Ice.

Returning to our screens at 6.30 pm, the hit show is back with the same hosts, Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern. The duo will be joined by the returning panel of judges made up of iconic ice dancers Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill, alongside dance and TV stars Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo.

One of the contestants hoping to wow the judges is 22-year-old Mollie, who viewers may recognise from her stint on the BBC’s brutal gameshow The Traitors.

Born in Nailsea, Somerset, in January 2002, Mollie shot to fame in 2024 after claiming second place in the second instalment of the BBC One reality show.

She was infamously ousted by Traitor and Series 2 winner Harry Clark, who she almost exposed in the finale episode. The TV star was ready to unmask Harry’s hidden identity and wrote his name on her board.

However, she opted to change the name at the last minute and cast her suspicion elsewhere, explaining that she had “trusted Harry for a while.”

Harry went on to reveal he was indeed a Traitor and took home the entire prize pot of £95,000. Stunned by the revelation, Mollie stormed out of the roundtable room saying: “Oh my f***** God. Oh my god! F***! F***!”

Despite the brutal swipe, the duo have since dispelled rumours of any bad blood between them.

Following her TV stint, Mollie has garnered over 100,000 followers on Instagram and over 30,000 on TikTok. The TV personality is also a model and has worked with the likes of Kurt Geiger, Tommy Hilfiger and Adidas.

Before setting her sights on television, Mollie underwent a ‘life-altering’ surgery that made competing on any reality show a possibility.

The soon-to-be ITV star was born with a visible limb difference anddoes not have fingers on her right hand. However, she has openly admitted that her hand did not negatively impact her when she was growing up.

Her health struggles came at 11 years old when she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in the digestive system. Mollie, whose father also had ulcerative colitis, suffered symptoms for around eight months before receiving a diagnosis.

“I was really unwell for a long time, from 11 until 18 and then I had my surgery when I was 18,” she admitted on the BBC’s Access All podcast.

The Somerset native had her large intestine removed in October 2020 and now lives with a stoma bag that she named Sid. She also has an Instagram highlight carousel dedicated to discussing the surgery and answering questions from fans with similar health conditions.

In a conversation with the BBC’s Emma Tracey, Mollie reflected on her quality of life since the operation, saying: “I think for me, because I was so poorly before, my stoma has completely altered my life in the best way.

“It’s given me the kind of option to go do these things [featuring on The Traitors]. Whereas, when I was suffering with ulcerative colitis I couldn’t be away from a toilet, so I would’ve never been able to do those missions in the middle of a field or the middle of a loch.”

She concluded: “My life heavily relied on a toilet before my surgery, so actually having a stoma bag is the best thing I’ve ever done.”

After missing out on the staggering prize money, Mollie returned to her normal life and job as a healthcare assistant. However, she left the castle with ‘one of the most important people’ in her life.

The model developed a bond with fellow contestant Jasmine Boatswain, who was also a Faithful, and their relationship has continued to bloom beyond the show. Taking to social media to share an ‘appreciation post’ for her ‘bestie’, Mollie posted a heartfelt video compilation of the pair, captioned: “You met a girl on a TV show who turns into one of the most important people in your life.”

The reel attracted 143,000 views on Instagram, with The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman leaving three love hearts in the comments and Jasmine gushing: “I am SOBBING!!! I love you with all my heart.” (sic)

Dancing on Ice airs tonight at 6.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
