BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – Recently, the Granada Theater took its place amongst other historic theaters when it joined a very special trail.

Preservation Alliance of West Virginia and the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office work in partnership on the West Virginia Historic Theater Trail. It recently added four new theaters to their trail, and The Historic Granada Theater was one of them.

The Assistant Manager of the Granada, Beth Cochren, tells us that they’re honored and they hope this will bring more people to the theater.

“It’s a blessing, it definitely is a blessing, and it’s hard work. The people that refurbished this did a lot…of hard work to get this up and running and we’re proud of it,” said Cochren. “We’re proud of everything that the Granada Theater stands for, from the entertainment to the first-run movies to the customer service that we offer. We’re extremely proud of this theater.”
