A woman left social media users scratching their heads after revealing her cat had somehow journeyed 1,000 miles away from home.

“She can’t hide from me, even in a different country,” @lussysmiles captioned her TikTok video, leaving viewers puzzled as to how her feline friend had managed such a feat.

Lussy used the ‘Find My’ app to show her location near London, while her cat was found to be near Pardubice in the Czech Republic – almost 1,000 miles away. The cat was equipped with an Air Tag, and in a subsequent clip, Lussy was seen on a plane, adding to the mystery.

She flew to Prague, and the icons representing her and her cat began to converge – but there was still some distance to cover before she could be reunited with her pet.

The video then switched to her phone screen as she tracked Bella, her cat. Initially, it indicated she was 23 feet away, but this distance quickly decreased.

Bella, a beautiful black cat, appeared on the screen, clearly delighted to see her owner and sniffing her hand in recognition. The pair then shared a much-needed cuddle.

The Air Tag tracker confirmed Bella was “here”, visible on her collar. Commenters were left bewildered by the saga, but Lussy later explained the situation in another video.

Lussy shared how she transported Bella to a different country, writing: “A lot of people were asking me about how Bella got from the UK to the Czech Republic, so I thought to put out a little video of our almost two day long journey. Massive thanks to @Stena Line for having pet-friendly cabins and for how easy they made this whole journey without the need to put my baby in the kennel.”

However, viewers were left perplexed, with one commenting: “I’m lost. Hang on, so you took her there and then left and then went back for her??? I’m so confused”.

Lussy clarified that she had to temporarily relocate Bella due to her landlord threatening to harm the cat and planned to bring her back to the UK once she secured new accommodation.

When questioned about why she moved Bella so far away instead of finding a new home in the UK, Lussy explained that she had no trusted contacts who could take care of her, saying: “I’ve tried but nobody I trusted to could take her and I had to act fast so she’s staying with family and I fly over to visit her as much as I can.”

The commenter replied: “Oh well, at least she’s staying with family. Too bad that it has to be far away, but hopefully you get everything sorted out.”
