Three people, including a child, have been injured after a fire ripped through a house in Glasgow, which also claimed the life of a cat.
Firefighters were at the property in Bridgeton, in the city’s east end, for more than four hours trying to control the blaze on Saturday, January 11. The casualties were treated at the scene by paramedics.
Images show clouds of smoke billowing from the house as flames tore through its roof. Fire crews left at around 8.50pm once the area had been secured, reports Glasgow Live.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.45pm on Saturday, January 11, to reports of a dwelling fire on Fairbairn Path, Glasgow. Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances to the scene.
“There were three casualties, including one child, who were taken into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service. Sadly, one cat died at the scene. Crews left the scene at around 8.50pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
