Shoppers have been quick to snap up a bargain as the mercury takes a nosedive, with many securing a “really warm” puffer coat for a steal.

While the cold snap is waning, it doesn’t mean it’s time to put away our winter warmers just yet. If you’re looking for an extra cosy layer without the price-tag, then Debenhams has dropped 64 percent off the TOG24 ‘Anthorn’ Jacket and it’s selling fast.

Originally tagged at £110, the online firm is currently offering the essential winter wear for only £40, which means shoppers will find themselves saving an impressive £ 70 off the RRP. However, the deal is limited, so bag it while you can.

As of writing, the TOG24 Jacket is available in sizes eight through to 24 in both the pale blue and mauve colourways. There is also a third option, black, but it has already sold out in a couple of sizes.

The Liverpool Echo reports that this jacket is deemed ‘true to size’, while also boasting a hood for further protection and a waist-cinching detail for a flattering effect. It also features two handy side pockets for smaller essentials, or for keeping your hands warm.

Meanwhile, the real star is the filling that has been crafted from recycled bottles. Combined with its padded, chunky design, and waterproof material, reviews suggest that it is “ideal for these wintry conditions.”

With a high score of 4.7 out of 5 in its reviews, it’s clear this jacket has won over its buyers, one of whom shared: “Great choice and delighted with my purchase. Good quality at a great price.”

A second pleased customer commented: “Love this coat, really warm. Great buy, would definitely recommend it.”

A third enthusiast added: “Great product, good quality, fits really well. Would definitely buy from this shop again.”

Someone else added: “Nice warm jacket, ideal for these wintery conditions. Good fit and length. Good having a drawstring in middle for adjusting to fit.”

At present, there are no negative reviews for this coat. Which means we’d advise bagging it while it is still available at the discounted £40 price-tag, and you can do so by visiting here.

In a similar vein, Regatta has cut the price of its Women’s Fritha III Insulated Parka Jacket from £100 down to £30. At Mountain Warehouse, the Cosy Extreme Womens Short Down Jacket is now £69.99, down from £179.99.
