Linda Robson left her co-stars in shock when she declared: “That’s it, I’m gone, I ain’t talking to you no more, I’m out of here,” before walking off the ITV set on Monday.
The 66-year-old was on Monday’s (January 13) panel alongside host Jane Moore, Brenda Edwards, and Janet Street-Porter. The atmosphere took a turn for the worse during a discussion on the topic: Is it ever okay to throw a strop?
Janet confessed to frequently losing her temper, recalling an instance from her time on MasterChef where she came second – though her outburst never made it to air.
Brenda tried to argue that throwing a strop was merely “showing passion,” but Linda interjected with a reminder of a past incident at the National TV Awards involving Brenda.
Linda recounted how Brenda had bought a bottle of Malbec wine at the awards ceremony and wasn’t too keen on sharing after her co-star had poured a bit for everyone present, reports the Liverpool Echo.
“She said, ‘That bottle cost me £85’,” Linda exclaimed, expressing her annoyance at Brenda’s reluctance to share. Janet jumped in to defend Brenda, stating: “Don’t feel sorry for her. ”
The broadcast journalist then pointed out that Brenda’s hard-earned money had purchased the wine before bluntly adding, ” That’s why I don’t socialise with you.”
“The one and only time I will ever want to go out with you,” retorted Linda. Jane tried to diffuse the situation, joking that their spat would likely make the news, prompting laughter from all.
The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star had been attempting to move on with the upcoming programme when Linda, in a moment of jest, imitated Good Morning Britain’s Piers Morgan by dramatically storming off set.
She slammed her hands on the desk, proclaiming: “That’s it, I’m gone, I ain’t talking to you no more, I’m out of here,” before she theatrically exited the stage.
The show then quickly cut to the ad break, leaving viewers hanging. When they returned, Linda was seen back at her seat, with no further mention of the unexpected moment.
