AUSTIN, Texas — An anchor of the Texas offensive line is going pro.
Junior offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. declared for the NFL Draft, making the announcement in an Instagram post Sunday.
Banks was one of head coach Steve Sarkisian’s first recruits and started every game at tackle since his freshman season. He won the Lombardi Trophy and Outland Trophy and was a unanimous All-American during the 2024 season while helping to lead the Longhorns to the College Football Playoff Semifinals for the second straight year.
Banks is projected to be an early first round pick in April’s draft and is the highest ranked offensive lineman on NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr.’s big board.
