(Gray News) – Walmart is rolling out a brand refresh for the first time in nearly 20 years.

According to a news release on Monday, the “updated brand identity will better represent who Walmart is today.”

The key feature of the rebrand is an updated logo, including a new font for the word “Walmart” and a bolder yellow “spark” icon.

Walmart is staying true to its blue and yellow color palette while updating it to be more vibrant.

William White, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Walmart U.S, said that the rebrand aims to make the company more contemporary.

“As our customers evolve, we will too,” White said in a statement. “Our Walmart will always be their Walmart, and our brand will always be a testament to how we innovate and change alongside them.”

Walmart said the rebranding process began in stores in October 2024 and “remaining stores will continue to be redesigned over time.”

The fresh look will launch on Walmart’s website and app sometime this month.
