The body of a 64-year-old man was discovered in a pool of blood in the back of an unattended ambulette in the Bronx Monday, police said.

Police were called to Castle Hill Ave. near Howe Ave. in Castle Hill around 10:30 a.m., cops said.

When they arrived, they found the man already dead, lying face down in the rear of the private ambulette with extensive trauma to his body, cops said.

The city Medical Examiner will determine his cause of death.

There were no immediate arrests.
