A man has died following a serious crash in Glasgow with the public urged to “avoid the area”.

Police were called to an on incident on Balshagray Avenue at around 1.50pm on Tuesday, January 14, after reports of a two-vehicle collision.

Officers from Police Scotland have confirmed that emergency services remain at the scene.

Balshagray Avenue at Victoria Park Gardens South, along with Victoria Park Drive northbound from the Clyde Tunnel remains closed.

A Police Scotland statement said: “A man has died following a crash on Balshagray Avenue, Glasgow. It happened at 1.50pm today. Emergency services remain on the scene.

“Balshagray Avenue at Victoria Park Gardens South, along with Victoria Park Drive northbound from the Clyde Tunnel remains closed. Please avoid the area and use an alternative route.”
