With hot air brushes becoming the ‘it’ styling tool recently, there is one that many beauty buffs consider as the crème de la crème.

That’s the Revlon One-Step Volumiser, and it is so popular that it has racked up millions of videos on TikTok, with many comparing it to the pricey Dyson AirWrap. As a Fashion and Beauty Writer, I was immediately intrigued.

In fact, I was so intrigued that I managed to get my hands on this highly coveted styling tool a while back and found that it would become an essential in my lazy girl styling routine. Even better, it’s currently on sale on Amazon for 28 percent less.

The Classic Edition of the Mid to Long Hair Styling Brush is now on offer for just £43, down from £59.99, allowing you to try this cult beauty tool for £17 less. As a “number one bestseller”, I believe this will be a hot deal for many bargain hunters.

So, why exactly did I like the Revlon One-Step Volumiser?

Well, there were many reasons, but I personally found that the large oval-shaped brush managed to ‘lift’ my thin hair from the root, giving my often limp hair a boost of volume. Since this is something I can often only achieve when at the salon, I’d take doing it from home any day.

While some might find that the design might be a bit clunky compared to sleeker tools on the market, I found that it glided through my hair effortlessly. Since it styles while drying, it cuts down the time you would spend doing your hair, which makes it ideal when you don’t have a lot of time.

I did only have one main drawback, and that was the heat settings. It boasts two heat settings, alongside a cool shot, but I felt like it only needed one, as the highest setting did scold my forehead and can be a bit too hot if you have a necklace on (so, definitely remember heat protectant.)

It’s also pretty versatile, as it allowed me to create a variety of styles from sleek, straight to curls. Using ionic technology, I found I could say goodbye to my limp, frizzy hair and hello to something soft, shiny and bouncy.

Of course, I am not the only fan of the Revlon Hot Air Brush, as you just need to read through the 28,885 five-star reviews on Amazon alone, with praise confirming it is an “essential” styling tool for “salon-style” hair from home.

One delighted customer wrote: “This is AMAZING! Everyone needs this at home as it’s perfect for a so many different hairstyles! This is an essential part of my hair routine now saves me a lot on salons!”

A second enthusiastic shopper said: “Ok, so I NEVER write reviews, but for this, I have to. I am clumsy, lazy and don’t pay a lot of attention to my hair. This is fast, effective, and leaves my hair feeling like silk. I have fine, lifeless hair, and this makes me look like I got my hair done by someone who knows what they are doing.”

Someone else said: “I saw this on TikTok and thought that I must give it a try! It’s perfect! I no longer use a hairdryer and this keeps my hair styled for two days! It’s super easy to use and very powerful! I can imagine this will work for most hair types!”

Similar to my own drawback, some users have found that the highest heat setting is a bit on too hot for their hair. One such review read: “This is okay- wish it came with smaller brush heads – don’t use on hottest heat, burnt off some of my hair. But good in low heat- takes long though.”

Don’t miss Amazon’s 28 percent discount on my go-to Revlon One-Step Volumiser here.

There are a few alternatives also worth checking out. There’s Revolution Beauty’s Haircare Smooth Boost Hot Air Brush that is now £23.39, while Shark’s SmoothStyle Heated Brush & Smoothing Comb is a little pricier at £79.99.
