Kate Middleton fans have said she’s ‘exactly like Princess Diana’ as she made her first solo appearance of the year during a visit to Royal Marsden Hospital.

Kate, 43, made an emotional return to the hospital in Chelsea, west London yesterday, where she had undergone chemotherapy last year, to thank the medical staff and offer encouragement to those currently receiving cancer treatment.

After her visit, she took to social media to share her health update. For the first time since her diagnosis last February, she openly spoke about being in remission after her treatment journey and talked about adapting to a “new normal” while looking forward to a “fulfilling year ahead”.

However, it wasn’t her statement that got royal fans talking, it was the resemblance they saw between Kate and her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

Many flocked to the comments to talk about it.

One penned: “Diana would’ve loved her.”

Another added: “Diana was and now Catherine is – The People’s Princess and the Queen Of Hearts.”

While one wrote: “She’s absolutely gorgeous and beautiful and she talks to people very much like Diana did. What a queen she’s going to be.”

Another said that she was just like the late Princess of Wales: “Such a beautiful person. She will make a fantastic Queen one day. She reminds me of Princess Diana.”

While one said:”Can you imagine them carrying out engagements together….they would have been amazing together.”

Another penned: “A true humanitarian! Brave, beautiful from the inside out and an amazing role model.”

In Kate’s statement, she emotionally penned: “I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year.

“My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything. We couldn’t have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been exceptional.

“In my new role as Joint Patron of The Royal Marsden, my hope is, that by supporting groundbreaking research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family wellbeing, we might save many more lives, and transform the experience of all those impacted by cancer.

“It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support. C”
