Motorists in Monklands are advised to take note of a series of upcoming road closures due to take place in the area over the next couple of months.
Luggieburn Walk in Coatbridge will be closed all day on January 22 to allow for ironwork repairs.
The affected area will be between property 19 and Dundyvan Road roundabout, with no diversions on offer to motorists.
Coatbridge’s Albany Street, from Blair Road to Torrisdale Street, will shut for five days from January 27.
This is for the replacement of an underground gas apparatus on behalf of SGN and diverted routes will be Blair Road, Lefroy Street and Torrisdale Street.
And Gartgill Road, Coatbridge, between Wilton Street and the B804 Gartliston Road, will shut for three days from January 27 for carriageway resurfacing works on the council’s behalf.
Alternative routes will include Blair Road, the A89 Bank Street, the B753 Dundyvan Road, the A725 Coatbank Street and the B803 Dunbeth Road.
Scottish Power will carry out works which will lead to Nelson Avenue, Coatbridge, closing from January 30 until February 12.
The closure will run from “65m south-east of the extended south kerb line of Kirkwood Place eastwards to the extended west kerb line of Cuparhead Avenue”.
Culzean Avenue and Kirkwood Place will be diverted routes throughout the works.
Carriageway resurfacing will see Bargeddie’s Langmuir Way, from its junction with the A752 Langmuir Road to its termination, close for 24 hours from February 8.
There won’t be any alternative routes for drivers available but “pedestrian access will be permitted where practical during the closure”.
A road in Glenmavis will close from February 3-28 for the completion of work by Scottish Water.
Windsor Drive, from the extended north kerb line of the B803 Raebog Road to the extended south kerb line of Dunvegan, will be shut when displayed by signs.
