Tommy Fury has firmly hit back at cheating allegations against Molly-Mae Hague as he has confessed the real reason behind their shock split.
The boxer has candidly revealed he had an alcohol problem which led to the downfall of his five-year relationship with his former fianceé, Molly.
Molly and Tommy, who met on Love Island in 2019, share one-year-old daughter Bambi together and were in the midst of planning a wedding together when they announced their split.
In a bombshell interview with MensHealth, the 25-year-old has revealed brand new information on their separation as he came clean about his issues with drinking and branded the wide-spread rumours that he had been unfaithful as ‘complete and utter b*******’.
The former Love Island star was previously linked to a blonde Danish woman named Milla Corfixen following his split from Molly with reports he had been unfaithful with the 20-year-old during a trip to Macedonia.
Milla admitted that they had “shared a kiss” in a nightclub but insisted that “nothing else happened”.
She also noted in her statement that if she had “known” about Fury’s ex-fiancée, Molly-Mae Hague, she “would never have kissed him back”. Fury has firmly denied these claims.
Fans of the beauty influencer were quick to attack Fury after Molly announced their split on social media last August, with her statement hinting that the end of their engagement had come as a great ‘shock’.
Her statement at the time read: “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.
“I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.”
Tommy has repeatedly denied all allegations of cheating with Molly also refusing to comment on the real reason behind their split.
Although, she has teased fans that more will be revealed about their sudden separation in her upcoming Amazon Prime documentary, Molly Mae: Behind it All, which will be released on January 17.
However, it seems Tommy, who is the younger brother of boxing champ Tyson Fury, has beat her to it as he revealed in a bombshell Men’s Health interview, published today, that he has an alcohol problem.
After months of speculation, the dad-of-one has finally revealed the truth, as he said: “With my breakup with Molly, there’s been so much sh** in the papers every single day for the past six months, but if it’s not come from my mouth or Molly’s mouth, it’s complete and utter b*******.
“All I’ve been seeing for the past six months is ‘Cheater!’, ‘He slept with me!’, ‘He slept with this girl, he slept with that girl!’ Complete and utter b*******.
“We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore. It kills me to say it, but I couldn’t. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink.”
Tommy spoke about the mental impact that the accusations have had on him as he said: “People go through different things in life. I’m 25-years-old. I went through a lot and my breakup was in front of the whole world.
“It was talked about on Good Morning Britain and I’ve received so much hate for it. The most upsetting thing is that not once did anyone say, ‘Oh, he might be going through something a bit more serious. He might be in a bad spot.’ Not one person said that.”
He continued: “Cheating was never a thing. You can ask Molly this yourself. It was the drink, and the drink is not a good thing. You need to get a grip of it.
“If you’re in the same spot as me, where you just think that it’s going to cure all your problems, it doesn’t. You wake up even worse and you want to drink more to try and feel happy again. That’s the cycle of it.
“I’ve got myself out of that now, but I just wish people would’ve taken some time out, rather than giving me so much shit every day, to think maybe there was more going on.
“Not once did anyone ask how I was. I checked my inbox. Millions of messages in there, all negative: ‘Do this…’ or ‘Do that…’ to yourself, but not once did anyone take any time out to try and help me.”
Tommy, who became a father after he and Molly welcomed Bambi into the world in 2023, said: “It’s not like I’d get up in the morning and start drinking, but rather than sit in bed all day and fester, I’d think, why not go out?
“Where I’d normally be in camp, I’d just be smashing Guinness left, right and centre, then later on in the night shots would come out. Most nights I would to drink to get black-out drunk. I think that’s what really took its toll on me.”
Speaking about how he managed to look through his one-year-old daughter throughout this period, he said: 2But being a father, I didn’t care how bad I felt in the morning or how rough I was, I’d be up at quarter past seven, waking the baby up, giving her a breakfast, making her breakfast, taking her to soft play, taking her to swimming, taking her to baby ballet.
“It was still very important for me while I was going through this stage to be like, okay, I want everything to be the same in her life. I was big on keeping her routine the same. That’s why nobody really clocked on, because during the day the normality was still there.”
