SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC/Gray News) – Georgia authorities say a Southwest Airlines pilot has been arrested for DUI.
According to the Chatham County Jail, David Allsop was taken into police custody after authorities at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport boarded Southwest Airlines flight No. 3772 on Wednesday.
Southwest Airlines said it was made aware of the situation and the employee in question on the flight from Savannah was removed from duty that morning.
“Customers were accommodated on other flights and we apologize for the disruption to their travel plans,” a spokesperson for the airline also shared.
Authorities did not release any further immediate details.
