BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – Bluefield Ridge Runners GM Rocky Malamisura has announced his retirement.

After a lifetime of unparalleled dedication and service to Bluefield Baseball, the Appalachian League and our beloved Bowen Field, Rocky Malamisura has officially announced his resignation as General Manager of the ball club.
Rocky’s journey with Bluefield Baseball is a story of passion, perseverance, and love for the game. From his early days as a steadfast supporter to his transformative leadership as GM, he has been the heartbeat of our organization and a beacon of inspiration for the Bluefield community. His unwavering commitment to excellence, his tireless efforts to enhance the fan experience, and his role in mentoring countless players and staff will leave a lasting legacy.
Bowen Field will forever echo with the memories of Rocky’s stewardship, where every game day felt like a celebration of community and the sport he holds dear. His vision and leadership have not only shaped the trajectory of Bluefield Baseball but have also enriched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to share in this journey.
While Rocky’s departure marks the end of an era, his impact will continue to inspire future generations.
