A person has been taken to hospital after falling down an embankment near a golf club in Dunblane.

Emergency services raced to the scene on Friday afternoon, with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) and Scottish Ambulance Service both in attendance.

SFRS were called shortly after 12pm to reports that a person had fallen down an embankment in Perth Road, near to Dunblane New Golf Club.

A SFRS spokesperson said: “Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance and firefighters assisted emergency service partners at the scene where one casualty was in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.”

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We received a call to attend an incident on Perth Road, Dunblane. We dispatched one ambulance and two special operations response teams (SORT) to the scene.

“One patient is being transported to Forth Valley Hospital.”
