A woman has died in hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Moray on Tuesday.
The 78-year-old was seriously injured in the incident, which happened at around 12.25pm on the A98 near Buckie, and involved the Nissan Micra she was driving, and an HGV lorry.
She was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment, but tragically died on Friday, January 17.
The HGV driver, a 58-year-old man, was uninjured. He was later arrested in connection with a road traffic offence, with police enquiries ongoing.
The road was closed for around 12 hours to allow crash scene investigations to take place, and reopened at 12.20am on Wednesday.

Sergeant Lesley Morrison said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased and they have asked for privacy at this sad time.
“Enquiries remain ongoing as we work to establish how this collision happened. Anyone with information or dash-cam footage should get in contact, no matter how insignificant it may seem.”
