President-elect Donald Trump is busy preparing to enter the White House for the second time. The GOP will be sworn in as the 47th President of the United States during a ceremony at the Capitol Building in Washington, DC.

The 78-year-old has been getting his administration in order ahead of the event, which will take place on Monday, January 20. The event will boast a stream of famous faces from country music stars to leaders in space and tech.

Tech mogul Elon Musk has secured a position in Trump’s close-knit team as co-lead of the Department of Government Efficiency. Now, Trump has announced three additional appointments for his term.

Actors Mel Gibson, Jon Voight, and Sylvester Stallone have been appointed as what he terms “special ambassadors to the great but troubled place, Hollywood, California.”

Gibson, who played William Wallace in 1995’s Braveheart, is an outspoken Trump supporter. He has made contentious statements backing him, like alleging that Vice President Kamala Harris “has the IQ of a fencepost.”

Gibson, whose house was destroyed in the LA wildfires, said he got the news “at the same time as all of you and was just as surprised. Nevertheless, I heed the call. My duty as a citizen is to give any help and insight I can.”

The Mad Max star is a conservative Catholic and has previously faced criticism for his anti-Semitic views.

Despite the controversy, Trump said the A-listers will act as his representatives within the film industry, writing on his social media platform Truth Social: “It will again be, like The United States of America itself, The Golden Age of Hollywood!”

Trump also called the trio special envoys. Special ambassadors and envoys are typically chosen to respond to troubled hot spots like the Middle East.

Stallone and Gibson have been regulars at Trump’s family resort in Florida while Voight, who is Angelina Jolie’s estranged father, is a staunch Trump supporter. He has even hailed Trump as the greatest president since Lincoln.

Meanwhile, American Idol star Carrie Underwood is arguably the biggest star playing at Trump’s inauguration. However, the Grammy-winner has been warned her “career is over” after making the decision to perform.
