The Austin Fire Department and Austin Police Department are investigating, but they do not believe the death was suspicious.
AUSTIN, Texas — A body was found after a fire in South Austin on Sunday afternoon.
According to Austin Police Department (APD) Watch Command, a call reporting fire in the 800 block of W. Ben White Blvd. came in at 12:30 p.m. Officials believe the fire originated from either a tree, trash pile or tent.
Once the fire was extinguished, officials located the deceased body.
Both the Austin Fire Department and APD are investigating, though neither department believes the death to be suspicious.
