Tributes have been paid to a young man who died after a disturbance in Paisley.
Robert McNally, 21, was found seriously injured in the Foxbar area of the town and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death is being treated as unexplained. A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with assault.
Devastated family and friends took to social media to share their heartbreak over the young man’s death.
Cousin Nicole Adam said her “heart is broken into a million pieces”.
She wrote on social media: “I haven’t just lost my little cousin but a little brother. I can’t take in what has happened to you, it’s killing me every second I think of you, and thinking how you were feeling tonight.
“I will never ever get over this heartache Robert. Forever 21 kiddo”.
Chaela Corkindale commented: “What a nice, kind guy. Rest in peace forever 21”.
Kellsie Robertson described Robert as “such a good person to be around” while another woman wrote: “Absoulutely gutted and devastated, can’t believe it.
“You’ll defo never be forgotten and missed even more. Defo left everyone devastated. Just can’t get my head around it.”
Pauline Shields said her heart was “breaking” at the news of Robert’s death while Sharanann Lindsay said: “Rab you were some boy and you’ll never be forgotten”.
Evan Michael Wilkie wrote: “Rest in peace brother. You will be missed forever ma man. Hope you’re having a ball up there Rab ma boy” with Daniel Davidson adding: “RIP Bro forever 21. Taken far too soon”.
Neighbours and the wider community have been left shocked by the tragedy.
Images from the scene appear to show a large blue tent erected over a vehicle on the road.
A number of large blue screens have been placed around it to block off the area.
Police officers remain stationed at a cordon on the residential street while the investigation continues.
Lewis Cameron said: “Poor lad still had his whole life ahead of him. My thoughts are with his family.”
Mandie Rannachan said: “A terrible tragedy. So young. Thoughts are with the family.
Ronnie Gordon added: “Such a shame to hear another young life has been taken. It’s a heartbreaking effect on the family and friends for years to come.”
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Emergency services were called to Maree Road and Lochbroom Road in Paisley following a report of a disturbance around 4.15pm on Saturday, January 18.
“A 21-year-old man was found seriously injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The death is currently being treated as unexplained and his next of kin are aware. A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with assault.”
