A man has been charged over an incident which allegedly saw two women assaulted before a flat was set on fire. Police Scotland said he is due to appear in court tomorrow.
The alleged incident took place at a property on Mill Road, Cambuslang, on Thursday, January 16. Police were called to a report of two women having been allegedly attacked within the property.
The alarm was raised just after 4pm and the women, aged 41 and 16, were rushed to hospital for treatment. The force said they were later released from the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
The 34-year-old man arrested and charged in connection with the incident is due to appear in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday in connection with the case.
