2nd annual ‘Cupid’s Jamboree’ event to return to Downtown Merchants

BLUEFIELD, W. Va. -If you are looking to do some Valentine’s Day shopping or just looking for an excuse to do something during the winter months, Downtown Merchants in Bluefield, West Virginia, may have an event for you.

The “Cupid’s Jamboree” will be returning for its second year after bringing more than one thousand people out last year. This will be an indoor vendor event, with around twenty businesses taking part.

With the upcoming holiday, there will be a lot of Valentine’s Day-themed products for sale, with an emphasis on art. There will also be food and drink, open interactive art workshops, and a variety of vendors.

The store’s owner, J.P. Marinus, says this will be a great opportunity to get something for your Valentine, while supporting small businesses.

“We just wanted to see, you know, what extra ways we could bring business into the store, you know, also being in our area there’s sometimes a lacking of arts and a lacking of community events, so it was just a good way to bring the community together and also maybe get some business out of it,” says Marinus.

Cupid’s Jamboree will be held on Saturday, February 8th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

If you have a small business and would like to participate in the event, Marinus says they are still looking for a few more vendors, but spots are starting to fill up.

You can call Downtown Merchants or find them on Facebook for more information.
