WASHINGTON, D.C., USA — During his speech on Monday afternoon, President Donald Trump announced several executive orders that he would be signing.
On Monday, the President laid out some executive orders and some sweeping policy changes that he wants to make.
An executive order directs an agency on how to enforce laws. President Trump signed 220 of them during his first term.
The President declared a national emergency at the Southern border Monday and he’s expected to sign ten executive orders having to do with immigration. Those would include the declaration of a national emergency at the Southern border and sending U.S. troops to the Southern border, reinstating the remain in Mexico policy, and designating criminal cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.
President Trump also announced that he will end birth right citizenship and many federal diversity, equity, and inclusion programs. Trump also said he will sign an executive order saying the federal government only recognizes two genders: male and female.

“We will tariff and tax foreign countries to enrich our citizens,” said President Donald Trump. “I will declare a national energy emergency, we will drill baby drill.”
President Trump also announced he’s using an executive order to rename the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America. He also said he’s changing the name of Denali in Alaska back to Mount McKinley.
You can expect many of these executive orders to be challenged in court as groups have already announced plans to file lawsuits.
