Concerns are growing for the welfare of a pensioner who has vanished in Aberdeen. Dennis Mackie, 86, was last seen on Dunlin Road in the city at around 4.30pm on Monday, January 20.

It’s understood Dennis may have travelled by car to the Huntly area, where he lives, and officers from Police Scotland are appealing for the help of the public in tracing him. He is described as around 5ft 9ins, of medium build with grey, balding hair with slight stubble and he wears glasses.

When last seen he was wearing a grey cardigan, a grey polo shirt, black jogger bottoms and beige slip-on shoes. Police have also shared a picture of a copper gold coloured Ford Fiesta, registration SY64 TVA, which it’s believed Dennis is driving.

Inspector Graeme Skene said: “It is important that we make sure Dennis is safe and well as concerns are growing for his welfare. We are asking anyone who has seen Dennis or his car or who knows where he might be to get in touch.”

Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 3697 of Monday, January 20, 2025.
