Bags of cocaine with a street value of more than £2,000 were found during a stop search of a vehicle in East Kilbride.
Plain clothed officers stopped a car on Calderwood Road on Saturday, January 18, and carried out a search of the vehicle, as well as the two occupants.
Officers recovered 63 bags containing cocaine with a estimated street value of £2,169, along with £100 in cash and mobile phones.
A 31-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were arrested and taken to a local police station where they were both later released.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A police spokesperson said: “On Saturday, January 18, plain clothes officers stopped a vehicle on Calderwood Road, East Kilbride.
“There were two persons within the vehicle and both were subjected to a search along with the vehicle. Officers recovered 63 bags containing cocaine with a estimated street value of £2,169, along with £100 in cash and mobile phones.
“A 31-year-old male and a 39-year-old female were arrested and conveyed to a local police station where they were both later released. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
