Tributes have poured in for a young man who died following a disturbance in Paisley.
Robert McNally, 21, was found seriously injured in the Foxbar area of the town following reports of an incident around 4.15pm on Saturday afternoon. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Robert’s death is being treated as unexplained and a 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident. Friends and family have been left absolutely devastated by what’s happened.
In a post on social media, Robert’s partner Angel White said: “There wasn’t anything you wouldn’t do for the people you cared about and that’s what I loved about you.
“You’ve been taken away from us all so sudden and far too early but I feel lucky to say I got to spend the last few months of your life by your side and I’m really going to miss you.
“I’ll always hold a place for you in my heart Robert, forever.”
Alongside the post, Angel shared a number of pictures of the pair together including a screenshot of a message sent from Robert on Hogmanay saying, “love you darling”.
Meanwhile, his cousin Nicole Adam said her “heart is broken into a million pieces”.
She wrote: “I haven’t just lost my little cousin but a little brother. I can’t take in what has happened to you, it’s killing me every second I think of you, and thinking how you were feeling tonight. I will never ever get over this heartache Robert. Forever 21 kiddo.”
Fireworks were set off in the housing estate on Saturday before police were later called to a nearby street where Robert’s body was found. Police were later called to Maree Road and officers remain stationed at a cordon on the residential street.
Neighbours and the wider community have been left shocked by the tragedy and images from the scene showed a large blue tent placed over a vehicle on the road while further tributes have also been left on social media.
Chaela Corkindale commented: “What a nice, kind guy. Rest in peace, forever 21.” Kellsie Robertson described Robert as “such a good person to be around”.
Pauline Shields said her heart was “breaking” at the news of Robert’s death while Sharanann Lindsay said: “Rab, you were some boy and you’ll never be forgotten.”
Evan Michael Wilkie wrote: “Rest in peace brother. You will be missed forever ma man. Hope you’re having a ball up there Rab ma boy.”
Daniel Davidson added: “RIP Bro forever 21. Taken far too soon.”
