A mum is baffled as her neighbour keeps asking her to move her second-hand car, claiming it isn’t “in keeping” with the rest of street.

Good neighbours can significantly enhance one’s living experience, ensuring peace and harmony. Bad neighbours can turn life into a nightmare with their varying antics, demands, and quirks.

Some people have to endure constant loud music courtesy of their neighbours, while others deal with their kindness being exploited, and there are those who face neighbours feeling entitled to private spaces like driveways or gardens.

Mum Nicole’s has taken to social media to vent about her latest encounter with “nightmare neighbour” Deborah and her strong aversion to Nicole’s second-hand vehicle.

In a widely viewed TikTok video, Nicole explained: “This is about my neighbour asking me to move my car because it’s not ‘in keeping’ with the street. She came round to my house last night and had a massive go at me.

“I came back from the supermarket today and I thought, ‘oh she’s coming over to apologise’ but no, she came over to tell me that if we are struggling, then she does know someone who wants to buy our house. The only inkling she’s got that we’re struggling is from the car that I drive which was £200.”

Nicole proceeded to film her second-hand Kia Sorento and, despite its top-notch condition, it seems to have greatly offended her neighbour Deborah. Nicole stated: “My husband changed jobs so we had to change our cars and I didn’t want to pay car payments anymore so I bought her for £200. Honestly, such a bargain.”

Emphasising her desire to avoid monthly car payments, Nicole sang the praises of her dependable vehicle. Sadly, this car purchase is just one of several issues Deborah has taken with Nicole’s family.

Continuing, Nicole said: “This is just the tip of the iceberg – she moans if we don’t water our plants enough, she doesn’t like the fact we have AstroTurf in our garden for the kids; she wants it to be real grass.

“She doesn’t like the kids playing out on the street, she said they should be playing in their own gardens. God forbid if our kids leave one of their bikes or scooters out. Also, she doesn’t like us leaving the bikes or scooters in our garden, she likes us to put them in the shed because it’s not ‘in keeping with the area’.”

Stunned TikTok users rapidly took to the comments section to express their opinions. One quipped: “I’m about three months away from scrapping my old dented Fiesta. If you want, I’ll just sign it over to you instead and you can park it outside her house”.

Another user suggested: “I’d go out of my way to wind Deborah up even more… yes I am that petty” while another commented: “If she’s that offended, she could sell her house and let you live your life.”

One commenter voiced their astonishment at the vehicle in question: “THAT’S THE CAR?! I was expecting an old rust bucket. Blows my mind she’s complaining about that”. Another user inquired: “Surely that’s borderline harassment? ” Meanwhile, a third person quipped: “We don’t have HOA [homeowners’ association] in the UK. Tell her to move to America and become a HOA president.”
