WYOMING COUNTY, W.Va. – A 20-year-old from Wyoming County pled guilty to Sexual Assault in the Third Degree on January 15, according to the Wyoming County Prosecutor.
The Wyoming County Prosecutor, Gregory Bishop, said on May 20, 2024, an investigation was started by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department after getting information that a child had been sexually abused by 20-year-old Justin Tolliver. Bishop said a forensic interview conducted by Stop the Hurt, Inc. and a witness statement corroborated the allegation.
Tolliver is scheduled to be sentenced in February, and Sexual Assault in the Third Degree is punishable by 1-5 years in prison, and Bishop said Tolliver could also be placed on up to 50-years of Extended Release Supervision.
