Scotland is set to be battered by up to 100mph winds as Storm Éowyn arrives on Friday, January 24. The Met Office has issued a red ‘danger to life’ warning as well as various other alerts, including snow in some places.
Storm Éowyn’s gusts are expected to cause “very dangerous conditions and significant disruption” as an Atlantic jet stream brings the destructive weatherfront to the UK’s shores in the early hours.
