Police Scotland has appealed to the public for information on a man who vanished on Thursday. Garry Vaughan was last seen in Glenrothes, around 24 hours before the Met Office’s red weather warning came into force.
The 33-year-old, who is still missing as Storm Eowyn batters the country, was wearing a dark grey tammy style woollen hat, dark coloured cargo trouser and a black hoodie.
He was. also carrying a grey rucksack when he was last seen. The force said the last sighting of him was in the Fife town’s Carseggie Crescent, and that he was heading towards Carleton Avenue, at around 8:40am.
Garry, who is around 5ft 10ins tall, is white and of medium build. Pictures of Garry were posted on the Police Scotland Fife Facebook page along with an appeal for information.
Sergeant Bernard McGurk said: “It is important that we make sure Garry is safe and well as concerns are growing for his welfare. We are asking anyone who has seen Garry or who knows where he might be to get in touch.”
Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 3609 of 23 January, 2025. Storm Eowyn has brought death and destruction across the country. as winds hit 100-miles-per-hour.
