A Rangers fan has been found after being reported missing in Manchester.

Robbie Hepburn, from Glasgow, vanished during the clash with Man United at Old Trafford last night. He took a trip to the bathroom at the stadium during the game but failed to return to his seat.

A frantic search was launched after he failed to return to the stand, leaving his phone and wallet behind. It has been confirmed that he was found on Friday morning.

Worried sister, Lauren, told the Record: “He’s been found! Can’t believe the kindness of people, it’s been amazing in finding him. Thank you.”

It comes as gusts of up to 62mph batter Greater Manchester during Storm Éowyn. Elements of the storm have already gripped the city south of the border, with major disruption reported in roads, railways and at airports.

Similarly to Scotland, residents in Manchester have also been urged not to travel.

An earlier appeal from Lauren read: “My brother Robbie went missing at the Rangers game at Old Trafford in Manchester last night, failing to return to his seat after going to the bathroom. He left his phone and wallet at his seat so we are worried for his whereabouts in a city he’s unfamiliar with. Please contact me if you have any information at all.

“Would appreciate it greatly if you could also share this post.”
