A sea wall on Arran has partially collapsed as the island feels the force of Storm Éowyn.
Police confirmed the sea wall was damaged at Whitefarland – between Lochranza and Blackwaterfoot – with debris blocking the road.
While the Met Office’s red weather warning is in place, the advice is not to travel unless absolutely necessary.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The sea wall at Whitefarland, Arran has partially collapsed – blocking the road from Blackwaterfoot to Lochranza with rock debris.
“This is one of a number of reports of flying debris, dangerous conditions and fallen tree reports across Ayrshire.
“Keep yourself and others safe. It is not safe to drive in these conditions.
“Being outside in high winds makes you vulnerable to injury. Stay indoors if you can.
