The roof of a property ripped off by strong winds during Storm Éowyn has fallen on a car in Glenrothes.

The car, which was parked in Bevan Court in the Fife town, has been completely covered by the wreckage earlier today, January 24.

It comes just over an hour after gusts of over 95mph were recorded at the Forth Road Bridge, as high winds sweep across the country.

A shocking image shared to social media shows a large piece of damaged roof lying on the ground in front of the residential property, with pieces of debris and splintered wood littering the road.

What appears to be the front of a black car parked in front of a garage can be seen poking out from the far side of the wreckage. No further damage to the building or other cars is visible.

It comes amid a red weather warning for Fife for wind which is due to last until 5pm today.
