Police are looking for a man who smashed a 66-year-old woman in the head with a golf club in a Financial District subway station.
Early Friday morning around 7:30 a.m. the man struck the woman in the head with a golf driver inside the Cortlandt St. subway station in lower Manhattan in an apparently unprovoked attack, police said.
Medics transported the woman to an area hospital, where she was treated for a laceration on the left side of her head, according to police. She is expected to recover.
Surveillance footage released by police shows the man dressed in a beige outfit carrying the golf club with him as he enters the subway station.
