The nation has been on the edge of its seats for weeks, and after T’Pau’s Carol Decker was unmasked as Tattoo during Superhero Week.
The Masked Singer is set to bid farewell to Kingfisher this weekend. With four characters already sent packing and eight remaining, bookmakers suggest that Saturday, January 25 will be the last we see of the feathered contestant.
Among the celebrities speculated to be Kingfisher are Harry Hill, Daniel Radcliffe, and Bob Mortimer, but leading the pack with Betway is none other than green-fingered TV icon Alan Titchmarsh reports the Mirror.
The Ground Force legend currently stands as a 2/1 front-runner, leaving comedians Hill and Radcliffe trailing at 4/1 and 5/1 respectively. Other names speculated among fans include Paul Whitehouse and Johnny Vaughan, both at 10/1 odds.
According to Mike Reading from Betway: “On Saturday, fans of The Masked Singer are in for a treat as all eight remaining characters will return to perform together for the very first time, bringing us closer to uncovering the next celebrity behind the mask.
“After clues of ‘fishing and planting’, ‘the right groundwork’, and ‘enjoying the great outdoors’, Ground Force star Alan Titchmarsh leads the odds as the 2/1 favourite to be behind the mask of Kingfisher.”
Meanwhile, the presenter’s pal and former Ground Force co-star Charlie Dimmock leads the odds as the 3/1 favourite to be Bush on this year’s series. It comes after Carol Decker was the fourth celebrity to be unmasked on the ITV show.
