Potential historic weapons were found within a home in Lanarkshire as a street was forced to be locked down.
Police and bomb squad officers raced to the property on Branchalfield Drive in Cambusnethan at around 7.30pm on Friday, January 24.
Items of potential historic ordnance had been found, with Explosive Ordnance Disposal specialists attending to inspect them.
The street in the village near Wishaw was taped off as a precaution, with affected residents moved to safety.
On Saturday morning, Police Scotland confirmed officers had been stood down and “no further action” has been taken.
A post shared on social media read: “Emergency services attended at a property on Branchalfield Drive, Cambusnethan, Wishaw, on Friday, 24 January, 2025 following a report of items of potential historic ordnance having been found within.
“Explosive Ordnance Disposal attended to assess the items. No further action was required and the cordon has been lifted.”
