ITV’s The Masked Singer continues to baffle fans with its mysterious contestants, but many now believe they’ve discovered the identity of Snail following the latest set of clues.
In last weekend’s episode, Tattoo was unmasked to reveal 80s pop icon Carol Decker, famed for her band T’Pau, as she became the latest contestant eliminated from the competition.
While the identities of the remaining contestants are still a secret, viewers are increasingly convinced that Snail is Bridgerton actress Kathryn Drysdale.
One fan took to Reddit sharing their theory, writing: “I think Snail is Kathryn Drysdale. She’s in Bridgerton. She was in St Trinian’s, and in Bridgerton, her character pretends to be French,” referencing Snail’s use of the French phrase ‘Je t’aime’ in a previous episode.
Another viewer agreed, saying: “My guess is Kathryn Drysdale! It kinda sounds like her IMO!
Plus the lace clue could be a reference to her role in Bridgerton (Madame Delacroix) and she’s been in Doctor Who which would tie into the “space” part of the riddle. And I think the school uniform might be a reference to her role in St. Trinian’s maybe?”
A third fan chimed in with their reasoning, adding: “She’s the right ‘level’ of celebrity to do the show as well—not one of the main characters who I can’t see would ever take part, but well-known enough in her role.”
Kathryn rose to fame in 2001 after staring in the BBC comedy Two Pints of Lager and a Packet Of Crisps. As well as staring in Doctor Who, Tripping Over and Bliss, and the film St Trinian’s.
She now stars in Netflix’s time period drama Bridgerton, as the seamstress Genevieve Delacroix.
Although some fans are not convinced that Kathryn is the one behind the mask, as they shared their other guesses on social media.
With one posting on X, formally known as twitter, saying: “Ok…..so the Snail on The Masked Singer UK is obviously Nicola Coughlan.”
Many viewers are convinced there is a Bridgerton connection, as one viewer wrote: “The Snail on the masked singer uk has got to be someone from Bridgerton. I’m convinced”
Others steered away from Netflix stars altogether, with one fan guessing: “Snail is 100% Nadine Coyle!” and another stated: “Definitely heard that voice on the radio many times, especially when I was so young, Come on……THAT’S ANDREA CORR!!!”

- A pin that reads “Welcome Home”
- A tie and boater hat
- Two rings
- A book about chivalry and etiquette
- “Dearest gentle Masked Singer viewers…”
- “You find me a trifle disguised”
- “Are you wondering what scandalous secrets I might reveal?”
- A cross-stitch bearing the phrase “Je t’aime”
Snail also shared a riddle with the audience that read: ”I can look rather fancy here standing in lace, but sometimes in my mind, it can be up in space.”
