Dancing On Ice fans have taken to social media in a fury following the latest episode of the show, which saw another celebrity axed from the ice.
It comes after Chelsee Healey became the first to get the chop from the ITV skating competition, with tonight’s show on Sunday January 26 seeing Ferne McCann voted out, as viewers have shared their fury at bosses over the new format.
Ferne, similarly to Hollyoaks star Chelsee, were both not given the opportunity to perform one last time for their place in the competition in the skate-off. Instead, those with the lowest score and combined votes are now immediately shown the exit.
The former TOWIE star, alongside partner Brendyn Hatfield, said their goodbyes as they done one final lap of the iconic rink on Sunday’s show which showcased the stars celebrating Movie Week.
Elsewhere in Sunday’s show, Dan Edgar scored an impressive 31 points as he opened the show with a James Bond number, but was quickly sweeped top of the board. Coronation Street star Sam Aston tipped the panel gaining 32.5 points.
Ferne broke down as she heard the news and said she was “gutted” after being booted off by viewers and the judges. However, she added: “It has been brilliant, so fantastic.”
Fans rushed to comment on the surprising result, with one person commenting: “Ferne going is OUTRAGEOUS.” A second commented: “The no skate off makes it so abrupt & just feels a bit disrespectful to the contestants. It’s basically you’re out come here and have an immediate interview & you’re surprised they’re upset?!”
While a third added: “What the actual f**k.. Ferne deserved to be in that final. This is why this show is s**t because all the good ones go home..”

And a four raged: “Another horrible result! They really need to bring back the skate off ASAP if it’s actually coming back at all. Ferne was average, but compared to Steve she looked like a professional ice skater!”
Elsewhere, comedian Josh Jones was forced him to withdraw from the competition due to a twisted ankle. He told presenters Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern: “So we were skating, and I went over on my ankle (during rehearsals)… and I kind of twisted my ankle. And I’ve got a cold sore as well, so I’ve got a lump on my leg and my ankle.”
