Cristiano Ronaldo netted his 20th goal of the season as Al-Nassr beat Al Fateh on Sunday. But the Portuguese superstar was left LIVID after being denied a brace by VAR.

The 39-year-old wrapped up a 3-1 win by connecting with ex-Liverpool hero Sadio Mane’s driven cross to stay top of the Saudi Pro League goalscoring charts. But the five-time Ballon d’Or winner thought he scored again in the dying embers before his incredible solo effort was disallowed for offside.

Ronaldo received the ball on the edge of the penalty box and glided past a defender before lashing his strike beyond the goalie. However, the Real Madrid and Manchester United great threw a strop seconds later when the moment of magic was ruled out by the officials.

An incredulous Ronaldo let rip in an emotional outburst at full-time as he gestured into a pitchside TV camera, saying: ‘Always against me, always cancel my goals.’ Ronaldo was then embraced by VIP guest Piers Morgan in the tunnel area as the TV host repeated told the star: “You were robbed.”

Ronaldo replied: “They don’t like me to score goals,” and long-term pal Morgan agreed, adding: “Ridiculous.” The broadcaster then posted a video of his interaction on X, writing: “Ronaldo robbed of a brilliant ‘offside’ goal tonight – but at least he got a consolation hug from me. Great to see you again @Cristiano.”

While Ronaldo was sickened by the offside flag, the legendary forward has now racked up an astonishing 920 goals in his senior career.
