PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – Residents in the Mid-Ohio Valley have been feeling frustrated recently over the lack of FedEx packages being delivered to people’s houses.

Nicholas Archer from Mineral Wells said he attempted to pick up a package delivered on January 9th, 2025, multiple times. He also called to find out where his package was, but his attempts were unsuccessful.

Archer is not the only one with this issue. In a Facebook post, other residents expressed their own issues, with packages arriving at the Parkersburg facility as early as January 4th.

While some people have posted about issues with delivery, other residents have posted about solutions they used to get their packages.

One resident mentioned calling FedEx and scheduling the package to be delivered to a drop-off location, like the Dollar General in Mineral Wells.

FedEx says they are working on contingencies to get people their packages as quickly as possible.

We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused by delays as a result of winter weather in the Parkersburg area and appreciate our customers’ patience as we implement contingencies, including securing additional delivery resources, extending operation hours and delivery times, and expanding package sorts to deliver these packages as quickly as possible. Customers with questions about their shipments can visit www.fedex.com for updates.
